Frown Lines: Frown lines also known as 11’s are formed from repetitive muscle movement. Botox injected into the muscles between the eyes can smooth the creases.

Forehead Lines: Botox in your forehead muscles can help lift and smooth creases. Botox in this area can also be used for preventative measure, which reduces the formation of new wrinkles (amount of units varies on each individual)

Candidates:
Lumecca is most effective on naturally light, untanned skin. People with tanned or naturally dark skin are not necessarily good candidates for IPL because there’s a risk that the skin pigment could change after treatment. Anyone taking Accutane should not consider an IPL treatment until at least six months after they stop using the drug. It’s also strongly recommended that pregnant women wait to receive IPL until after they’ve given birth.

Dermaplaning is a non-invasive cosmetic procedure that uses a scalpel to remove peach fuzz and dead skin cells, leaving your face smoother and more radiant. How is this different than shaving?
Shaving your face is not the same as derma planing. While shaving simply eliminates peach fuzz and can be done at home, derma planing actually gives exfoliation in addition to hair removal and is also done by a qualified skin care expert.

Dermaplaning vs. Dermabrasion: what is the difference?
Despite the fact that both derma planing and microdermabrasion are exfoliating treatments, derma planing uses the finest micro guards which protect your skin while removing peach fuzz and dead skin whereas, dermabrasion uses tiny crystals and suction to physically remove dead skin cells from the skin without affecting peach fuzz. In general, microdermabrasion is preferable for a deep exfoliation while derma planing is more preferred for hair removal and mild exfoliation.

Plexr Plus (or plasma soft surgery) is a non-surgical treatment used to lift the eyes (blepharoplasty), by treating the skin laxity. It is also used to improve scars, treat moles, skin tags and other unwanted superficial skin lesions. Unlike surgical treatments for these problems, Plexr Plus does not require general anesthetic and recovery time is much shorter.

The treatment uses plasma – the fourth state of matter after solid, liquid and gas – and is performed using wireless handheld devices which are manufactured in Italy. The Plexr Plus Soft Surgery device has been used and licensed in several countries worldwide over the last 10 years. It is the first fully licensed plasma technology to be introduced in Canada.

Plexr Plus is a cordless micro-surgical hand operated device that transfers concentrated heat to the treated skin tissues. It uses the difference in voltage between the device and the patient’s skin. The difference in voltage generates a small electrical arc, similar to a minute lighting. The small lighting causes sublimation of the fluids contained in the superficial part of the skin, without unwanted heat transmission to the adjacent tissues. Additionally, it acts on the superficial layer of the skin preserving the lower layers; this will reduce drastically any potential permanent skin damage that could be caused by the misuse of conventional lasers.

Plexr Plus ionizes the air between the tip and the body, generating a direct plasma on the skin, using mainly the thermal effect, but being more precise, selective and superficial, so not damaging the deep layers of the skin (dermis), but only the superficial epidermis.

Deep wrinkles, folds, and creases brought on by the natural ageing process can be corrected with Sculptra, an injectable procedure that gradually boosts collagen formation. Other dermal fillers that use hyaluronic acid (HA) as its active component are not like Sculptra. Preparation:
It is recommended that the following be done one week prior to appointment:
– To avoid unnecessary bleeding or bruising please refrain from having any blood thinning products such as alcohol, alive, ibuprofen or aspirin. If on prescription blood thinners you must obtain permission from your family doctor to discontinue meds prior to the appointment.
– Discontinue retinol, glycolic acid or other skin irritating lotions prior to procedure
– Arrive to appointment with a makeup free, clean face –

Procedure:
Despite the fact that Sculptra contains lidocaine, you may chose to have a topical anaesthetic given to the areas that will receive the treatment in order to minimize discomfort. Recovery:
